Following on from the first chapter of the collaboration between the sports apparel brand and Finland's leading design house, this limited-edition collection features Marimekko's famous Unikko print, first introduced in 1964. This iconic print is being used for the first time in a sports apparel collection to celebrate the spirit of not forgetting creativity even when enjoying sports and leisure. The collection will cover a wide range of styles, from sportswear to streetwear, including running and tennis shoes, the iconic Stan Smith, and even a kids' collection.

This collection will be available at adidas stores, the adidas online shop, the adidas app and select adidas retailers. Sportswear including running and tennis wear will be available from September 30, 2021, and adidas Originals products including Stan Smith will be available from October 15, 2021.
Design
This collaborative collection features Marimekko's signature print, "Unikko" (a design pattern with a poppy flower motif), created by Maija Isola in 1964. Marimekko founder Armi Ratia initially forbade Maija Isola from designing floral patterns, but her strong will and determination convinced Armi Ratia, making this a print with a story that perfectly suits this collaboration.
This pop, bold, and eye-catching print has been woven again into adidas' signature high-performance fabrics, resulting in a range of items that combine style and comfort, allowing you to move freely and enjoy the joy of movement.
Eye-catching performance
The campaign features four female triathletes. Triathletes not only need the ability to train and perform in multiple sports, but also the ability to think outside the box, adapt and be creative, and move forward regardless of the conditions or circumstances. The collection will feature an incredible lineup including adidas athlete Kate Waugh, who has won multiple medals at world and European championships.
