United Arrows will begin selling products eligible for the Pink Ribbon Campaign from October 1st.
The campaign calls attention to the importance of early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer. United Arrows has been running the campaign since 2008, and last year raised 513,878 yen. This year, the company will once again sell campaign items, with a portion of the sales going towards raising awareness about breast cancer screening. The shops selling the items are as follows:
United Arrows will sell the Pink Ribbon Monkey strap "PINK RIBBON MONKEY" (1,200 yen) and LUDLOW's panther grape handle "TOTE BAG" (23,000 yen). BEAUTY&YOUTH UNITED ARROWS will carry the pale pink knit cap "KNIT CAP" (9,250 yen) and pink slip-on shoes "SLIP-ON SNEAKER" (23,500 yen) from Amb.
Other items available at UNITED ARROWS green label relaxing include the pink kids' top "CUT&SEWN" (2,300 yen) and the canvas tote bag "TOTE BAG" (5,900 yen) from OUTDOOR PRODUCTS. Another Edition will offer the star-patterned iPhone case "iPhone 5 Case" (3,800 yen), Jewel Changes will offer the striped "MINI TOTE BAG" (3,800 yen), Odette e Odile UNITED ARROWS will offer the elegant pink shoulder bag "DRAWSTRING BAG" (8,500 yen), and Boisson Chocolat will offer the basic round pumps "Plain Pumps" (9,500 yen).
In addition, THE STATION STORE UNITED ARROWS LTD. and THE HIGHWAY STORE UNITED ARROWS LTD. will carry hair accessories by CREAM HILLS for 1,300 yen.
5% of the sales of these items will be donated to the Breast Health Research Society. Additionally, at Drawer, Astrat, and Unroute stores, 100 yen for each product purchased will be used to raise awareness of breast cancer screening.
During the campaign period, donations will also be made online. For every "like" or retweet on the special website, official Facebook page, or official Twitter account, 5 yen will be donated by United Arrows. In addition, leaflets containing information on breast care by age and self-care check methods for breast cancer will be distributed in stores. The campaign will run from October 1st to October 31st.
