Gucci releases new short film starring Kate Moss

Sep 11, 2014

Gucci has released a digital short film for its Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection, starring Kate Moss.

The film was created to celebrate the launch of the new Jackie Bag collection. The name Jackie Bag comes from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, affectionately known as "Jackie," who used the bag frequently. Creative director Frida Giannini reintroduced the bag to the collection in 2009.

In the film, Kate is shown being pursued by paparazzi in Rome, using her "Jackie Soft" handbag as a shield to escape the camera flashes, evocative of Gucci's former muse, Jackie.

Frida also commented, "Kate is a trendsetter, an independent woman, and living vividly in the present. She embodies Gucci's Autumn/Winter collection as a sophisticated woman who dresses for herself, not for others."

The short film has been released on Gucci's YouTube channel, and will also be broadcast on CNN's television and online channels from the 15th. An online campaign is also planned for CNN's official website.
