SHIBUYA.CAST will open on April 28th at the entrance to Cat Street, connecting Shibuya and Harajuku. Constructed as part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Urban Renewal Step-Up Project, the 17-story complex will feature shared offices, a cafe, residences, offices for IT and apparel companies, a multi-purpose space suitable for various events, and a plaza surrounded by greenery. Designed with the concept of "creating a space that stimulates creativity," SHIBUYA.CAST is uniquely positioned for its open, free-flowing plaza. Leading up to the grand opening, opening events will be held for 10 days from April 28th to May 7th, focusing on themes such as culture, art, music, and food. A market will also be held on weekends, and food trucks from a variety of genres will be available on weekdays, creating a relaxing space where people can enjoy lunch or take a break under the open sky. Entering the façade from the plaza, the ground floor leads to the first-floor retail space, featuring THE RIGOLETTO, a Spanish-Italian restaurant serving meat and wine; PULP 417 EDIFICE, a select shop showcasing Tokyo's latest street style; PULP Deli & Cafe, a new BAYCREW'S business complex featuring healthy deli items and a wide selection of waffle cone ice cream; Tokyu Store Food Station, a supermarket; and Are, a cafe with a warm, wood-themed interior. The following first and second floors house a shared office area run by co-lab, offering desks, meeting spaces, and shared kitchen facilities. This space brings together freelance and corporate creators, enabling them to work while networking and collaborating. Desk space rentals start at 50,000 yen per month, and anyone can register to use the office space.
Floors 2 to 12 will be an office area housing Baycruise, an apparel company that has relocated its headquarters, and foreign IT companies, while floors 13 to 16 will be a residence area for creators. The "Collective House" residence for creators will have 19 rooms as well as a shared space where residents can interact with each other, and will be designed as a place to explore and promote new lifestyles. Of these, the 14th floor will be a serviced apartment offering furnished rooms, primarily for businessmen and creators visiting Shibuya from Japan and abroad.
With the opening of Shibuya Cast, which will stimulate interaction among creators, Shibuya, the city of fashion and culture, is sure to evolve even further.
