Lilipiace, a New York-based lingerie brand made by Japanese people, opens its first limited-edition shop in Japan

Sep 15, 2014

Lingerie brand Lilipiace will open its first-ever pop-up shop in Japan at Ma Lingerie on the third floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. The shop will run from September 17th to September 29th. Lilipiace was founded as a New York-based lingerie brand by three designers who were classmates at a Japanese fashion school. After graduating, the three women built careers as women's clothing, lingerie, and pattern makers, respectively. After visiting New York several times on trips, they were drawn to its energetic atmosphere and decided to move to the United States. Their creations are imbued with a desire to have people around the world wear their lingerie designs and to convey Japan's high-quality materials, craftsmanship, and technology. Their designs are characterized by their feminine and luxurious aesthetic, utilizing the beauty of natural materials like silk and organic cotton, as well as French and Japanese leaver lace. In the United States, the brand is sold at luxury lingerie store Journelle and select shop Anthropologie's bridal line BHLDN.
