Versace will launch "VERSACE EMOJI," an emoji app for Valentine's Day that allows users to customize their brand's iconic Medusa. The app is free and available for iOS and Android.
To celebrate the launch of the app, Versace will unveil a capsule collection of men's and women's T-shirts at Versace boutiques around the world. T-shirts featuring Medusa wearing sunglasses and Medusa with heart eyes are available, and the collection will be available in Japan at the Ginza store from mid-February.
The app allows users to select and customize Medusa with various expressions. They can express their message using stickers, backgrounds, filters, and text colors. Photos edited with the app can also be shared on social media with the hashtag "#VersaceSharesLove."
Emoji is showing signs of emerging as a major trend in the Western fashion scene for the upcoming spring/summer and fall/winter seasons, with Donatella Versace herself commenting, "I'm really looking forward to being able to use this new emoji app at this time, on Valentine's Day."
