Founded in Italy in the early 1980s by current president Pietro Negra and his wife, Cristina Rubini, PINKO is a contemporary fashion brand offering a comprehensive range of clothing, accessories, shoes, bags, and more, tailored to the diverse needs of modern women. Aiming to be a brand of "accessible luxury," the brand has attracted attention by opening more than 200 stores in its home country of Italy and around the world. PINKO's first ready-to-wear store in Japan opened on March 1st in an approximately 58.84-square-meter space on the first floor of Odakyu Department Store Hulk. The store's lineup will consist of 90% ready-to-wear and 10% bags and accessories, including the brand's iconic "Gem Sneakers" with sparkling sequined uppers. The store also features a life-size touchscreen digital tool called the "Store Stylist." Not only can PINKO looks be viewed at any time from the store, but looks can also be viewed by seasonal trend keywords. This "Store Stylist" has been adopted by PINKO stores around the world, serving as a tool for communicating with customers across online and offline boundaries. The Spring/Summer 2016 key visual, which will be unveiled in the same store from March 1, features model Arizona Muse as the muse. She naturally portrays a woman who uses fashion to express her individuality in a changing world, demonstrating her dynamic growth. She truly embodies the feminine, sensual, ironic, and eclectic modern woman—a true "PINKO MUSE."
Also, to mark the opening of Japan's first PINKO shop, the first 80 customers who spend over 30,000 yen will receive a special PINKO bangle (one of four colors: red, blue, green, or black). Information about PINKO can also be found on Instagram through the official account (@PINKOOFFICIAL) and hashtag (#ShineBabyShine).
