Max Mara's Sapeur-inspired jacket collection launches at Shinjuku Isetan

Feb 9, 2016

Starting February 10th, Max Mara will open a pop-up store, "Tailleur Sartoriale Max Mara," featuring its jacket collection, at the Shinjuku Isetan flagship store.

The 2016 Spring/Summer collection features jackets that incorporate men's tailoring techniques while pursuing a beautiful, feminine silhouette and body line. Crafted from breathable linen and cotton, the jackets are suitable for a variety of occasions, from business to leisure. Mother-of-pearl buttons add a summery touch.

In addition to simple navy and beige, this season's collection also includes vibrant colors such as red, pink, and turquoise. The collection is inspired by the Sapeurs, a group of gentlemen from the African Congo who espouse a commitment to elegance. The pop-up store will be open from February 10th to 16th at the Luxury Stage on the 4th floor of the Shinjuku Isetan Main Building, and from February 17th to 22nd at Space 3 on the 3rd floor of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Building. Sartorial experts from Italy are scheduled to visit Shinjuku Isetan Main Store from February 10th to 12th and on the 14th.
