On April 20, Italian multi-category brand Moleskine released the "Moleskine Smart Writing Set" (¥26,100), which instantly digitizes handwritten notes in conjunction with a dedicated app.
This set includes three items: a "Paper Tablet," an aluminum pen with a built-in capture camera called "Pen+" that digitizes what you write, and the dedicated "Moleskine Notes" app, which allows you to save and share your notes and sketches.
Notes and sketches scribbled on the "Paper Tablet" are instantly digitized through the dedicated "Moleskine Notes" app without the need for photographs or scanning. Even notes written during meetings can be shared with team members back at the office as PDFs with a tap of the pen tip. Additionally, handwritten sketches can be displayed in real time through the dedicated "Moleskine Notes" app for iOS and "NeoNotes" for Android, allowing you to share presentations with a live feel. The Paper Tablet was created using Ncode technology, developed by Korea's NeoLAB Convergence, which allows digital data to be stored on paper. The finely dotted pattern allows users to recognize their location on the page and where the pen is resting. The paper is thick and suitable for both writing and drawing. Its rounded shape is reminiscent of a digital tablet. The Moleskine Notes and NeoNotes applications, which store notes and sketches created on the Paper Tablet, allow users to save notes both handwritten and digitally. Notes can also be exported to other file formats, edited, and searched. They can also be shared in formats compatible with various applications and devices, including Google Drive and Evernote. The product will be available nationwide from May 20th, following an early launch at the Moleskine Atelier in Tokyu Hands Shinjuku and the Moleskine online store.
