Burberry unveils its 2021 Landscape Campaign, showcasing the TB Monogram in four natural landscapes

Aug 30, 2021

Burberry has unveiled the second campaign for its currently available TB Summer Monogram collection: Landscapes. The iconic Thomas Burberry Monogram is paired with natural landscapes to tell a story of limitless adventure and feature new summer-inspired colours for the season.

The campaign reinterprets the brand's long heritage of exploration, fusing nature and technology in a journey of discovery. The Thomas Burberry Monogram is integrated into four unique and breathtaking landscapes. The TB Summer Monogram collection pays homage to the brand's founder, Thomas Burberry, featuring the Thomas Burberry monogram, a bold, interlocking TB initials designed by Riccardo Tisci. The first campaign in 2021 features Naomi Campbell. When the Thomas Burberry Monogram collection was launched in 2019, a campaign featuring Gigi Hadid was released, followed by a campaign featuring Kendall in 2020. This season, the third in the series, features new summer-inspired colors: cobalt blue, deep royal blue, and mid-grey. The collection includes lightweight, summery pieces for women, men, and unisex, including nylon coats and jackets, silk sets and dresses, swimwear, bodysuits, leggings, cotton hoodies, T-shirts, and bags.

Rock sculptures
Renowned land artist John Foreman has created Thomas Burberry Monogram rock sculptures on the expansive sands of Newgale Beach in South Wales, UK. Using the shore as his canvas, he has used natural materials to create the new TB Summer Monogram colour palette.
"I respect the landscape by using the materials that nature provides. We didn't provide anything. We just used what was there."
John Foreman, Land Artist

Kite Surfing
From Boao Town in Hainan Province, China, to Wanning, surfers glided between the sky and the waves, sporting kites printed with the TB Summer monogram, against a spectacular backdrop of the horizon. The free-spirited spirit of summer sports is enhanced by the power of nature.
"My life these days is basically either on the ocean or near the ocean, waiting for the wind. I let go of the pressures of the city, jump into the ocean, and become one with nature."
Wang Lijie, kite surfer

Drone performance
Over Taylor Park Reservoir in Colorado, USA, a giant "TB" motif created by drone lights appeared in the night sky. Reminiscent of natural fireflies, it was created using cutting-edge technology. The three new colorways from the TB Summer Monogram Collection change color in a gradation.
"There's something we can all relate to deep down in our consciousness when we look up at the sky and lose ourselves in thought."
Graham Hill, Drone Show Producer

Paramotors
From Chaka Salt Lake to Wuste in China's Qinghai Province, paramotors sporting TB Summer Monogram sails that contrast boldly with the stunning natural scenery traversed a unique, seemingly endless panorama.
"This is a special place where flying can really free your mind. Even if you have problems or worries, you can forget about them when you're in the air and truly enjoy yourself."
Zong Longlu, Paramotor Pilot
