Coohem, a brand known for developing vibrantly colored knit tweeds, will be holding a pop-up event, "Coohem Custom Knit Tweed Tour 2016," at the PASS THE BATON Kyoto Gion store from May 14th to 22nd. Coohem is a factory brand with roots in a 60-year-old knitwear manufacturer. Using the interlacing technique that gives the brand its name, the brand produces knit tweeds that resemble woven tweeds while retaining the warmth and craftsmanship of knitwear. This time, at the PASS THE BATON Kyoto Gion store, a custom order event will be held, where participants can choose two of their favorite knit tweeds from the archives of fabric samples developed by Coohem to create a one-of-a-kind, original knit tweed clutch bag. For buttons, participants can also choose from antique buttons from Mitake Buttons, a long-established Ginza company. The items will be priced at ¥17,000, with a delivery time of approximately one month. During this period, there will also be special sales of leftover fancy yarns.
