Bunney to hold special event in Shibuya, with silver jewelry monogrammed on-site by a British Royal Warrant holder

May 19, 2016

London jewelry brand BUNNEY will hold a jewelry engraving event, "BUNNEY Hand Engraving Workshop "Monogram," at the Tomorrowland Shibuya flagship store on May 28th and 29th. The brand's director, Andrew Bunney, and an engraver who serves the British Royal Family will visit Japan on the day to engrave the initials of each purchaser on the spot.

BUNNEY was launched in 2009. Crafted from sterling silver and gold, the brand offers items that incorporate the signature badges and studs of London's street culture, such as mod and punk, in minimalist designs. As luxury jewelry based on street culture, the brand has gained popularity among a dedicated fan base in Japan. From January to March this year, the Bunny Custom PX150, a Vespa iconic of the mod movement, was exhibited at Dover Street Market Ginza (DSMG), United Arrows & Sons, Tomorrowland Shibuya, Vulcanize London Aoyama, and other locations, attracting attention for its hand-hammered taillights, footpegs, side mirrors, and other key components. Each piece is stamped with the Assay Office hallmark, a British certification body that guarantees the quality of silver. Exclusively for this event, monogram engraving will be available on jewelry. On both the 28th and 29th, artisans from the London workshop will engrave badges and plated bangles on-site. After the event, from the 30th through June 5th, the store will accept engraving orders. Items will arrive one to two months later. An additional engraving fee will be charged in addition to the price of the jewelry itself.

The brand's director, Andrew Bunny, has been selected for three consecutive seasons as part of the "NEWGEN (New Generation)" by the British Fashion Council (BFC), the same body that produced designers such as Alexander McQueen and J.W. Anderson, and he also works as the creative director of "ROUNDEL LONDON," the official brand of the London Underground.
