THE PARK・ING GINZA (5-3-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, B3F), directed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, opened on March 26th. Located on the B3 and B4 floors of the Sony Building at Sukiyabashi Crossing, the B3 floor was previously home to the long-established French restaurant Maxim's de Paris, and the B4 floor was a parking lot. The B4 fashion zone will house Tokyo-based fragrance label retaW and DENIM BY, a collaboration between Hiroshi Fujiwara's FRAGMENT DESIGN and VANQUISH, which will open its first store in Japan. Other areas will include Nike, featuring a selection of footwear and apparel carefully selected by Fujiwara, No.813, directed by Toru Nishiyama, and original THE PARK・ING GINZA items.
A variety of limited-time content will be planned in the pop-up space in the back, and from the opening until May 22nd, United Arrows & Sons director Ogi "POGGY" Motofumi will be working with them to sell limited-edition items such as T-shirts, hats, bags, stickers, watches, pin badges and more, all designed specifically for The Parking Ginza with a funk theme.
On the third basement floor, "Café de Rope Ginza" and "Bonjour Records Ginza Store" will be opening. This cafe, attracting attention as a revival of the open-air cafe "Café de Rope," which opened in Harajuku and Omotesando in the 1970s, features a menu featuring desserts from renowned shops, including "Nori Toast" (¥389) and "Cream Toast" (¥389) from the coffee shop "Ace" in Kanda, and butter toast (¥445) from the bakery "Pelican" in Asakusa. The menu also includes cheesecake (¥1,334) from restaurant "Yonemura" in Gion, fruit sandwich (¥1,371) from fruit parlor "Furu-Furu" in Akasaka, and sandwich cake (¥1,000) from the long-established Western confectionery shop "Shirase" in Ise. Bonjour Records Ginza offers a selection of CDs, LPs, vintage cassette tapes, and music-related books. A number of limited-edition items will also be available at the time of opening. Denim by offers a stadium jumper with a Ginza map embroidered on the back (45,000 yen) and denim with a serial number (37,000 yen), while Ritu offers a fragrance candle with a scent inspired by the park in a store-exclusive package. Earrings (23,000 yen) inspired by the "Soppas" sock clasp by accessories brand CAREERING x Hiroshi Fujiwara are also available for pre-sale. Nike's space will focus on the "HTM" series from "NIKE iD" until April 1st, with each model available.
