Mame's Maiko Kurokawa expresses her "New Mexico dream" through clothing at Shinjuku Isetan. Limited edition white and green embroidered dresses and blouses are also available.

From May 18th to 24th, mame will open a limited-time shop at Isetan Shinjuku, showcasing items from its Spring/Summer 2016 collection, located on the third floor of the main building, Center Park/The Stage #3.

This season's theme for mame is "Alchemist." Designer Maiko Kurokawa identifies with the protagonist of novelist Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist," and sees the events that occurred during Kurokawa's dream journey to New Mexico as "alchemy." She explains that this alchemy is what "making clothes" means to her, and has embodied it in her Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

The items featured this time represent the vast land of New Mexico in a "dry, earthy beige" and the creeping plants in a "whitish green." Four items will be sold exclusively at Isetan Mitsukoshi at the venue.

The "Lace & Embroidery I-Line Dress" (58,000 yen) is a black dress featuring delicate lace that reveals the décolleté. This silhouette, which fits the feminine form, is an iconic classic style of the brand, and the mint green lace, the key color, is embroidered with botanical motifs that symbolize the season.

The "Open Shoulder Cotton Blouse" (39,000 yen) is a blouse made of crisp cotton fabric that exudes a natural texture, with bold cuts at the shoulders and chest. The oversized, relaxed silhouette creates a relaxed look. It comes in two colors: white and navy.

The "Botanical Embroidery Tight Skirt" (43,000 yen) is a navy tight skirt made of jersey material with a moderate sheen and firmness. The stripped-down, minimalist design is enhanced with a slightly high-waisted silhouette for a classic nuance, and these pants also feature botanical embroidery.

The "Rayon Tuck Pants" (43,000 yen) are three-quarter length pants with a design that emphasizes straight lines for a clean look. The minimalist design accentuates the beautiful texture and drape of the fabric.

In addition, the first 12 people to purchase over 50,000 yen during the event will receive a plant from "Qusamura" (Nishi-ku, Hiroshima Prefecture), which is also on display as decoration at the venue.
