Margaret Howell has unveiled looks from its 2016-17 Autumn/Winter men's collection.
Using materials unique to the UK, such as British wool and cotton twill, the collection is based on a black color scheme that highlights the deep, delicate texture of the materials. Items include the "SOFT DOUBLE JACKET" (63,000 to 73,000 yen), a double-breasted jacket made from heavy flannel and cotton wool drill fabrics, finished in an unconstructed style with no shoulder pads, and the "50's CHINO TROUSERS" (33,000 to 42,000 yen), wide trousers based on vintage chino trousers and crafted using Margaret Howell's signature tailored fabric. Also appearing is the "EDMONTON SHIRT" (44,000 to 48,000 yen), made in the brand's own shirt factory in Edmonton, north London, where skilled craftsmen handle every single sewing process for each shirt. Other items include a tassel scarf made of silk twill with an elegant sheen and Tricker's Chelsea boots, expressing Margaret Howell's signature modern British style. Additionally, the collaboration series with Yoshida & Co., Ltd., which has appeared on the collection runway countless times since its launch in 2007, will be available again this season. Befitting this 10th year of collaboration, four styles will be reissued, modernizing items from the earliest days. The lineup consists of four types: the Boston-style "HOLDALL" (56,000 yen) that is perfect for travel, the 2-way "SHOULDEER" (34,000 yen) that can also be used as a tote, the 2-way "TOTE" (43,000 yen) that can also be used as a shoulder bag, and the mesh wallet "MESHED WALLET" (3,000 to 5,000 yen) that also functions as a compartment. All prices are estimated prices.
