Nike will open a specialty running service store, "NIKE+ RUN CLUB OMOTESANDO" (4-25-12 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) in Omotesando, Tokyo, on May 28th.
The store will offer a variety of services to support runners, including the "NIKE+ RUN CLUB (NRC)," a new, globally standardized program of seven sessions designed to help runners achieve their goals, from training to becoming faster and stronger to running long distances in a friendly atmosphere. In addition, special sessions exclusive to the store will include "Morning Miles," a morning run, and private "NRC Sessions." In addition to the NRC, the store will also offer the "NIKE+ TRAINING CLUB (NTC)," where runners can experience a variety of workout sessions, primarily led by Nike Master Trainers. Upon entering the store, a "Run Concierge" will introduce services suited to each runner's running level and goals, and those who sign up for a NIKE+ membership can experience many of the in-store services for free. Additionally, "NIKE 1 on 1," which provides personalized services for each runner, will be offering five sessions. New sessions will include "NRC Trial Run," a trial service that helps runners find the perfect shoes for their run; "NRC Personal Run Trainer," which provides run analysis and advice for a more ideal run; and "NRC Personal Run Trainer Premium," which provides coaching tailored to each runner's goals and level, as well as a three-month training menu that can be viewed digitally after the session. Other services offered include the "Run Crew Finder," which helps runners find and join a running community that's right for them; "Run Styling," which offers stylists-curated, Tokyo-style running apparel styling tailored to their level and preferences; and "Bra Fitting," which helps women find the perfect bra. Customization services are also being expanded, with the "TEE Design Studio" offering personalized customization services, allowing runners to customize their own T-shirts by combining several designs and text, and the "NIKEiD STUDIO" offering personalized shoe designs. Applications for the store's services will open on NIKE.COM/TOKYO on May 16th. Following the opening of this store, Nike Japan plans to open the "NIKE+ RUN CLUB NAKAMEGURO" in Nakameguro this July, continuing to expand its services for athletes.
