MC: You appeared in a lovely outfit from Polo Ralph Lauren. How do you like your outfit today?
Yosozumi: I'm so happy to be able to wear such cute clothes! And they're so easy to move around in!

MC: You started skateboarding when you were in the sixth grade of elementary school, right? What was the trigger?
Yosozumi: It all started when my older brother was a skateboarder and he gave me a board to play with. He was skating with his friends, and I wanted to join them so I practiced hard.

MC: Ralph Lauren is offering a limited-time skateboarding school called "RL SKATEBOARD SCHOOL for Kids" for children from age 5 through elementary school. What do you think of the specially made ramp?
Yosuzumi: It's so cute, and I'm so happy they made a ramp for "POLO." In fact, I was involved in deciding the dimensions of this ramp from the very beginning, and I'm very happy that the size and height turned out just right.

MC: At this school, children can take lessons from instructors including professional skaters. Your dream for the future is to become a coach for children, right?
Yosuzumi: I love young children, and I want to support kids who are working hard and aiming to become world champions like me. I would also be happy to become someone that everyone looks up to.

MC: Ms. Yosozumi, did you have a teacher who actually taught you?
Ms. Yosozumi: I don't have a coach, but I've had a lot of different people teach me at the park. I've also watched things on YouTube or social media and if I thought, "I think I can do that," I'd give it a try.

MC: If you could build your own practice park, what kind of park would you build?
Ms. Yosozumi: The tournament course is a park-style course made of concrete, so I'd like to build a park like the ones used in actual tournaments. 、 シンマン・ ... Black or navy would be good colors!

MC: (After the performance) How did it feel skating down the Ralph Lauren ramp?
Yosuzumi: I was so happy because I never thought I'd be able to skate on a POLO ramp. I want to take this ramp home with me too!!!

■Q&A
*Do you feel that your own achievements have contributed to the development of skateboarding?
Yosuzumi: As with the Ralph Lauren school, I would be happy if my presence and achievements inspire girls and young children to take up skateboarding.

*If the kids at the school are going to start skateboarding, is it important that they start by practicing skating on a ramp?
Yosuzumi: I think it's a great idea to start with a ramp. I also practiced pedaling on a ramp with my older brother. I believe that having that foundation is what got me where I am today.

*What do you think it will mean for the future of skating if Ariake Urban Sports Park is opened to the public and concrete skate parks are built?
Yosozumi: There are no parks in Wakayama prefecture where I live, so if concrete parks are built all over the country and there are places to practice seriously, I think we will see a lot of Olympic skaters. *Do you have any specific goals for the future? Yosozumi: I want to achieve success in the competitions I've participated in before, such as the X Games and the Vans Park Series! ■ Overview of "RALPH LAUREN GINZA SKATEBOARD RAMPS" The skateboard ramps, installed on the garden terrace of Ralph Lauren Ginza, the world's newest concept store with a new concept that changes monthly.
