Japan's largest international projection mapping competition, "1 Minute Projection Mapping," will be held at the Niigata City Museum of History Minatopia from September 19th to 23rd. The competition, which has been held in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture for the past three years, has been expanding year by year, with 43 entries from 14 countries last year. This year's fourth edition, themed "CROSS," marks the first time the competition will be held in Niigata City. A special stage performance by dancer and choreographer Koharu Sugawara will also be held on September 21st. Highly acclaimed for her unique dance style, Sugawara has choreographed for artists such as 2NE1 and Girls' Generation, and performed in concerts for EXILE, SMAP, and Namie Amuro. She has also attracted global attention, appearing in fashion magazines and brand advertising campaigns. In 2013, she appeared as a dancer in the advertising campaign for the wristband-type wearable gear "NIKE+FUELBAND SE," and has since been active as a Nike athlete.

In addition, the venue will be hosting screenings of works by overseas guest creators and talk sessions. During the event, works that have passed the first round of judging from works submitted in advance will be screened, and visitors will vote and judge them.
