Seven Stars Design to hold first art show looking back at 20 years of archived works

Aug 22, 2015

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, 7STARS DESIGN is releasing a collection of designs compiling their graphic design and other works. To coincide with this, the first in a series of art shows showcasing their archived works will be held at Tokyo Culture by Beams in Harajuku, Tokyo, from August 21st to 26th. Established in Harajuku in 1995, 7STARS DESIGN has produced numerous designs across a wide range of fields, from CD jackets and cigarette packaging to skateboard decks. In the apparel industry, the brand has worked with numerous global brands, including Nike, Supreme, and Stüssy. In recent years, their collaborations with Harajuku-inspired brands such as Challenger, FTC, and HUF have garnered attention. This event, held in conjunction with the release of the collection, which compiles their archived works from the past 20 years, will showcase a variety of their graphic designs. The main attraction will be a skateboard deck featuring 20 different artworks based on graphics from the design collection, as well as products created in collaboration with skateboard brands such as T19 and INSTANT, archive posters, LP jackets, and package designs.

In addition to the first limited edition and regular versions of the design collection, the venue will also be selling T-shirts made in collaboration with fashion brands and limited edition 20th anniversary T-shirts.
