Jennifer Lawrence is the world's highest-paid actress according to Forbes magazine

Aug 24, 2015

Actress Jennifer Lawrence, who also serves as a spokesperson for Dior, has been ranked number one in the ranking of the world's highest-paid actresses.

The ranking was compiled by American business magazine Forbes, which found that Jennifer earned an estimated $52 million from June 2014 to June 2015. The magazine calculated the estimate by deducting taxes and fees from her income for that period.

Jennifer, who has appeared in two hugely popular film series, "The Hunger Games" and "X-Men," jumped from second place last year to first place on the ranking thanks to the huge success of the latest films in both series, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Also on the list is Scarlett Johansson, who starred in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron," in second place with $35.5 million, Melissa McCarthy in third place with $23 million, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing Fan, who also starred in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," in fourth place with $21 million, and Jennifer Aniston, who got married this month, in fifth place with $16.5 million. Sandra Bullock, who was in first place last year with $51 million, now sits in 13th place with $8 million.
