As part of its "LOUIS 200" project commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Louis Vuitton, will launch the game app "LOUIS THE GAME" on August 4th, Louis' birthday.
The origins of Louis Vuitton date back to an epic adventure: at the age of 14, founder Louis Vuitton set out from his hometown in the Jura region of France and traveled two years on foot to reach Paris. Inspired by this journey, the Maison has developed a platform game for all generations to enjoy in celebration of Louis Vuitton's 200th anniversary. Combining advanced animation with the Maison's centuries-old tradition, "LOUIS THE GAME" offers an action-packed adventure set in six fictional worlds spanning time.

The game stars Vivienne, the beloved mascot of the House, as she embarks on a long journey to a destination celebrating her birthday. Speedy and active, Vivienne must collect as many monogrammed candles as possible along the way, earning keys to reach each level. Players can also compete with friends on a global leaderboard and dress up Vivienne in-game, showcasing her unique style.
Using the latest blockchain technology, the game includes 30 pieces of NFT (non-fungible token) art, 10 of which were created by digital art sensation BEEPLE. The interactive "LOUIS THE GAME" will be available as a downloadable app from the App Store or Google Play on August 4th. After downloading, players will begin by choosing their favorite silhouette from two Louis Vuitton backpacks during an introduction. The tutorial also introduces Vivienne's movements, from basics like walking and running to more advanced moves like climbing ledges, floating in water, and double jumps. Collecting each of the 200 candles unlocks a postcard, revealing behind-the-scenes information and trivia about the House, including collaborations, special orders, technical details, the history of the Vuitton family, artistic endeavors, and fashion show highlights. The adventure begins in LOUIS FOREST, where players travel alongside Vivienne through dreamy locations inspired by Paris, Beijing, London, and New York, including LUMINOUS CITY, ADVENTURE KINGDOM, MONOGRAM ISLAND, SUNSHINE METROPOLIS, and BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA. As she glides down hills, scales buildings, and spins energetically, Vivienne shines in a shower of colorful sparks with every candle she collects.

With a seamless and playful narrative, "LOUIS THE GAME" embodies the Maison's history of creativity and innovation in a new way, reaffirming how tradition and subversion can coexist.
[About BEEPLE]
American artist BEEPLE (Mike Winkelmann)'s participation in "LOUIS THE GAME" marks his second collaboration with the Maison. First teaming up with Nicolas Ghesquière for the Spring/Summer 2019 women's collection, BEEPLE created exclusive prints inspired by existing artworks as well as videos for window displays in stores around the world. On March 11, 2021, an NFT artwork of BEEPLE's digital collage, a collection of images taken over 13 years and published on Instagram, sold at Christie's for $69.3 million, the highest price ever paid for a digital artwork. This move places BEEPLE in the top three highest-paid living artists.
