"Paris Style," the definitive guide to Paris for adults, is now on sale. Murakami Kasuko, a Paris correspondent and translator who has been introducing France to Japan for 20 years, has lived in Paris since her 20s and translated French literature by Boris Vian and Henri Troyat. She returned to Paris in 1985 and spent the next 20 years there, serving as Paris bureau chief for Magazine House and Le Figaro Japon. She also writes the column "Cat Heart, Paris Heart" for Le Figaro. The newly released "Paris Style" offers a wide range of information about Paris, informed by Murakami's unique experience of interviewing famous actors and artists and socializing. The book covers a wide range of topics, from everyday items like interior design, miscellaneous goods, and stationery to beauty information like clothing, vintage items, accessories, hair salons, and spas, as well as food like cafes, restaurants, and wine, and art and culture like museums, music venues, and movies. Also, at the end of the book, the favorite places of nine Parisians, including Jane Birkin and Caroline de Maigret, are revealed for the first time.
