A joint exhibition, "RYOTA MURAKAMI & HIROKI KATAOKA 2017 S/S COLLECTION," by RYOTA MURAKAMI, a father-son duo brand by Ryota Murakami and Chiaki Murakami, and HIROKI KATAOKA, a brand by former CG designer and shoemaker Hiroki Kataoka, will be held at Omotesando Rocket on the third floor of Omotesando Hills Dojunkan from October 21st to 26th. RYOTA MURAKAMI was selected as one of the 2014 ARTWORK FINALISTS at ITS (International Talent Support), Europe's largest fashion competition, known as a gateway for emerging designers. He is currently active as part of "Tokyo New Age," a group of young, innovative brands produced by fashion designers Mikio Sakabe and Yoshikazu Yamagata. HIROKI KATAOKA also won the ARTWORK AWARD at ITS in 2015, and has attracted attention for his unusual career path, having switched from CG designer to shoemaker.

At the exhibition, visitors will be able to order RYOTA MURAKAMI's latest collection, including his first women's collection, and archive pieces and sample items that were never commercialized will be sold at special prices. HIROKI KATAOKA will be holding an order event for his first collection, "encount," which follows on from the Character Deformation series released in 2015 and attempts to combine otaku culture with street style. Other items in the lineup include original bags and shoes created in collaboration with BALMUNG.
