Damir Doma's 10th Anniversary Collection Launches Exclusively on Farfetch

Oct 20, 2016

On October 17th, Paris-based brand Damir Doma released its archive collection, "Past. Present. Future," celebrating its 10th anniversary, exclusively on the online shopping site Farfetch.

Damir Doma gained experience working under designers Raf Simons and Dirk Schönberger, and presented his first collection in Paris in 2007. In June 2015, he moved his show to Milan Men's Fashion Week, presenting pieces that encapsulate the human body's fragile nature and its rough yet refined designs. Drawing inspiration from countless art and architecture around the world, the silhouettes represent Doma's concept of pure interpretation of form.

This archive collection updates the brand's most iconic characteristic, a style that transcends gender, such as femininity and masculinity. The collection includes the "Infinity" coat, characterized by its generous volume and shape reminiscent of the infinity symbol, and the "Scarf" bomber jacket, crafted from a sheer, glossy material and adorned with Afghan scarves. The collection also includes a wide range of skirts, tops, shorts, and dresses. Regarding the collection, Doma said, "Planning this project has been a thrilling experience. I carefully pored over our archives to select the most iconic silhouettes from the past decade. By using my favorite materials and incorporating elements from the latest collection looks, I believe I have reborn these pieces into something new. Bringing each piece from the archives back to life was a sentimental lesson for me; it was like being transported back in time. Each piece has a story behind it, and I believe knowing this is what makes this project so fascinating. The 'Past.Present.Future' collection offers a condensed glimpse into the past decade of Damir Doma."
