
SML, a tableware and tool shop in Nakameguro, will be holding a pop-up event, "Mingei Tableware: SML Pottery Market," from October 26th to November 8th at COOPSTAND on the 6th floor of Tokyu Plaza Ginza.
COOPSTAND is a select shop that introduces brands and makers from all over Japan and suggests beloved products that you'll want to use for a long time. This time, the pop-up event will feature SML, a Nakameguro shop that deals in folk art ceramics and other crafts from all over Japan. During the event, approximately 350 pieces of tableware from folk art potteries and artists from all over Japan will be on display, including original Denishi Kiln tableware. A wide variety of pieces will be on display, from everyday items like tea bowls and mugs to tools perfect for the upcoming season, such as clay pots and egg bakers.
The lineup of participating artists includes pottery and porcelain from Idenishi Kiln, Igarashi Genji, Onta ware from Sakamoto Takumi and Hajime, Shodai ware from Fumoto Kiln from Inoue Takayuki, Koishiwara ware from Ota Tetsuzo and Kei, Yumachi Kiln, Okada Takato, Tamura Kiln, Mayumi Kiln, Shodai Mizuho Kiln from Fukuda Rui, Yamaguchi Kazusei, and Seto Hongyo Kiln, and glass from Miyake Yoshikazu, Ito Yoshiteru, and Ota Jun.
