To celebrate the 130th anniversary of Isetan's founding, Isetan Shinjuku will be holding "British Week" from November 2nd to 8th. The event, themed "A Stroll Through Britain," will focus on British culture and British masterpieces. During the event, numerous famous shops and products beloved by the British will be showcased on each floor of the Main Building and Men's Building. Mulberry will be introducing a midnight-colored version (¥199,800) of the brand's new iconic "Camden" bag from its catwalk collection, combining smooth leather and felt, exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku. Other items on sale include limited-edition Tricker's boots (¥93,960) and Molton Brown skincare products. Additionally, as part of "British Week," a "British Exhibition" will be held from November 2nd to 7th in the event hall on the 6th and 7th floors of the Main Building. The sixth floor will be themed around "PUB" and "TEA TIME," while the seventh floor will be themed around "ETERNAL," showcasing British-style communication and the richness of British life. The sixth floor's theme, "PUB," stands for "Publis house," and refers to the British people's "second home." During the event, a PUB Zone will be set up, featuring a variety of menus from 14 establishments, based on the concept of a "second home" for visitors. The lineup includes The Royal Scotsman's "haggis," a traditional Scottish dish made by stuffing sheep's innards into a boiled stomach (limited to 50 per day, ¥864); The Bay's "fish and chips" (¥1,450) and "grilled fish burger," which was voted the No. 1 in the UK in 2013 by the British Fish & Chip Association; and Yorkshire puddings (all varieties starting from ¥422) from the Clapham Inn, an English pub in Ashiya, Hyogo Prefecture. The store will also offer baked goods created to complement flavored teas by Brew Tea Company, a Liverpool-based tea brand, and Reiko Fujishima, who works at The Saloon, a cafe and bar in Yoyogi-Uehara, Tokyo. Other items include craft beers, currently trending in the UK, from a Scottish craft beer brewery. The TEA TIME zone will also feature British furniture and tableware, proposing a lifestyle that incorporates British furniture and tableware into everyday life, allowing for a modern and elegant teatime experience. Items include the "Reproduction Table" (¥318,600) and "Butterfly Chair" (¥120,960), both of which were reproduced by Ercol at the 2016 Milano Salone, and the "Queen's 90th Birthday Commemorative Mug" (¥6,480) by Burleigh, a British tableware brand boasting over 150 years of history. The ETERNAL zone on the 7th floor will showcase items overflowing with the power of British craftsmanship that can be enjoyed for years to come. Una London will offer made-to-order handbags (starting at 113,400 yen) in which customers can choose the type and color of leather for the flap, body, gusset, and handles, and will offer handbags made by skilled British craftsmen. Other items planned for release include Glenroyal leather items, which combine a classic feel with practicality and functionality that matches modern times.
