CHANEL has unveiled its advertising campaign for its 2016-17 Cruise Collection. The campaign is set in Cuba, capturing the deserted, sun-drenched beaches, the warm, salty sea breeze, and the shady lanes of a small southern town. Scottish model Stella Tennant and Argentine model Mica Arganaraz are depicted in color and monochrome, reveling in the blissful freedom of summer light. Stella Tennant wears a masculine-cut jacket over ivory turn-up pants with black pinstripes, tucked into a wide belt. Two-tone derby pants, suitable for day and night, emancipate the silhouette and allow freedom of movement when paired with pants, a full skirt, or a flared pencil skirt. A tweed midi skirt with generous fringe is also paired with a "Coco Libre" T-shirt. The military-inspired jacket was worn over a gold and black bikini.
Mica Arganaraz also wore a shiny yellow dress and a sweater embroidered with green, blue, and red botanical motifs, with a playful bag slung over her shoulder. Around her neck and waist, she wore the brand's signature pearl and camellia long necklaces.
