The CHANEL exhibition "CULTURE CHANEL, The Woman Who Reads" is currently running at Ca' Pesaro International Museum of Contemporary Art in Venice until January 8, 2017. Since launching at the Pushkin Museum in Moscow in 2007, "CULTURE CHANEL" has expanded to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Paris, and South Korea, with each venue changing its theme. This seventh exhibition focuses on the world of books, reading, and poetry that informed Gabrielle Chanel's creative concepts. Exhibits include numerous dedications, historical documents, photographs, illustrations, and fashion items, unraveling, like a library, Gabrielle Chanel's aesthetic sense, her taste for classicism and baroque, and her love of the splendor of Russia and Venice. The exhibition also features rare, never-before-seen exhibits, including artwork from her Paris apartment, as well as jewelry and perfumes.
An opening party was held on the first day, with celebrities such as Keira Knightley and Louisa Ranieri attending to celebrate the opening. Comments were also left in the video sent from the venue.
