In May, JAL launched "JAL Sky Bespoke," a special in-flight shopping campaign on international routes featuring screenwriter Kundo Koyama, the company's general advisor for new products and services. The first product, "Buffing Gloves" by the British luxury shoe brand John Lobb, will be available through June. Priced at ¥14,000.

"JAL Sky Bespoke" offers items crafted by the highly skilled artisans of traditional brands as JAL original products. New products will be released every two months for a total of six installments until April 2015.

"Buffing Gloves" are mittens used to polish the surface of shoes. The natural mouton oil applied to the surface gives the gloves a shine without scratching the leather. Since no cream or other polishing cream is required, they can be carried with you on your travels for easy shoe polishing. John Lobb offers a lineup of seven colors, but this time, the product features JAL's original corporate color, red.
