Isetan Mitsukoshi Accelerates Airport Store Openings: Men's and Women's Stores Open at Haneda Airport [Men's Edition]

May 15, 2014

This summer, Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings will open two new stores at Haneda Airport, a strategic location expected to see further development as Tokyo's gateway. The aim is to create new value and expand customer contact points. The second men's store will open in Domestic Terminal 2 on June 13, following the opening of the Isetan Haneda Store in Domestic Terminal 1. The Isetan Haneda Store (Men's) Terminal 2 (hereafter, Men's Store No. 2) will have a floor space of approximately 440 square meters. Following the concept of the first store, the store will offer high-quality products and experiences that will be cherished for a century in a lounge-like atmosphere. The store will be divided into four zones: Relax, Jet Set, Gifts, and Entrance, and will offer a selection of products tailored to the needs of customers heading out on their travels. The "Relax" zone offers a wide range of items, including seasonal casual wear, leather bags and shoes, as well as innerwear, shirts, and knitwear. From brands like JAMES PERSE and V::room, perfect for one-mile wear while traveling, to DIESEL, SOPH, and MARGARET HOWELL, the selection ranges. Sunglasses and cosmetics are also available in this zone, encouraging the enjoyment of travel. The "Jet Set" zone, positioned as a place to prepare for your trip, offers suits, business shoes, and business bags. Knitwear, ties, dress shirts, cufflinks, and handkerchiefs, essentials for business style, are also sold in this corner. Brands available include TUMI, LUIGI BORRELLI, and John Lobb. The new store will also feature a shoe shine corner, a popular addition at the first store, as well as a cafe with a dining area. The "Gift" zone, positioned as a place to show consideration for travelers, will feature flowers by Nicolai Bergmann and home accessories and general merchandise from brands like Baccarat and Camille Fournet. The "Entrance" zone is a new addition. It will be used as a promotional space for the store's signature displays and to introduce brands not normally available. A Mitsukoshi Isetan manager said, "At the first store, which opened about two years ago, we saw more fashion sales, such as jackets and coats, than we expected, even though it was located within the restricted area. For this reason, we've significantly expanded our clothing selection for both casual and business wear at the second store, hoping to create a store that's even more personalized for airport passengers. We'll continue to listen to our customers' requests even after the store opens."
