Of Cosmetics, a company that designs and develops hair care cosmetics, will hold the grand opening of its new total salon, Of HAIR Ginza (3rd floor, 6-2-3 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) on June 1st. The floor will feature Of Hair Ginza, which features a dedicated nail and eyelash booth and healing head spa, an Of Cosmetics showroom, and the first barber shop, Of the Barber. Despite its Ginza location, the salon strives to create an inviting atmosphere, bringing with it the relaxed atmosphere of our Jiyugaoka and Omotesando stores, says Of Cosmetics PR Director Tsujimura. The corridor-inspired interior is filled with greenery, and the dimly lit spa booths create a relaxing space. The salon's signature two-step shampooing process involves a standard scrubbing of the scalp and pores, followed by a massage shampoo (standard option available) that uses acupressure on the scalp. The shampoo will be selected by expert staff to suit your hair condition. You can choose from 10 original blend oils for your scent, with the highly relaxing "Lavender Orange" said to be the most popular. A shampoo (short spa & massage) and blow dry starts at 4,000 yen.
The barber space has a classic modern atmosphere inspired by British gentlemen. The staff are licensed barbers and have also studied Of Hair cutting theory. While it is primarily aimed at male customers, women can also use it for facial shaving etc.
Of Cosmetics was founded in 1988 by Osamu Furusato, who ran a hair salon in Jiyugaoka. They develop items that incorporate organic ingredients and the latest technology, which are gentle on both hair and the hands of salon staff.
