Jill Stuart launches new fragrance woven with 100 flowers

May 31, 2014

JILL STUART BEAUTY will release its new fragrance, Crystal Bloom Eau de Parfum (30ml/5,500 yen, 50ml/7,500 yen), on September 5th. The scent is floral, evoking the idea of "the space between girlhood and adulthood." Top notes of sweet pea and snowdrop are joined by middle notes of edelweiss and magnolia, and the end note includes a "tulle accord" in which over 100 types of flowers are layered like a tulle dress. Aimed at adult women who grew up with JILL STUART BEAUTY, this eau de parfum is richer than the eau de toilette, yet still has a soft, translucent scent. The perfumer is Christine Nagel, who became Hermès' in-house perfumer in 2014.

The bottle cap features a bunch of three five-petal crystal flowers, and the base features a flower motif relief reminiscent of the stamens and pistils of a flower. The bottle, which adds a vintage element, features an original 20-sided cut design reminiscent of a diamond.

At the launch event held in Tsukishima, Tokyo on May 28th, an installation inspired by a tulle dress appeared. The two-tone white and green rectangle at the top is based on a flower motif, representing the droplets that create Crystal Bloom Eau de Parfum.
