Introducing the Lee collection selected by NIGO. Three archive models are recreated.

May 15, 2014

Creative director NIGO, also known as a vintage collector, has launched "Lee by NIGO," a collection featuring three styles from the Lee collection.

The "131 Cowboy" (26,000 yen) is based on a 1930s cowboy model. It's made of selvedge denim with a warp thread made from American organic cotton and a weft thread made from top gray, which hides stains. It comes with a saubah label featuring a cowboy illustration, an iron-made tuck button with "UNION MADE" engraved on it, and a paper ticket tucked into the left back pocket. The all-cotton stitching has also been reproduced. The leather label on the left back pocket features an original "by NIGO" stamp.

The "101 Cowboy" (23,000 yen) is based on a 1920s model with a zipper. This pair is crafted from 100% American organic cotton right-hand twill selvedge denim. The front zipper features a hookless pinlock and a "U-shaped" fastening, just like the original. The all-brocade stitching recreates the imperfections of the original stitching, even down to the imperfections. The exclusive wired donut buttons featuring the "Lee by Nigo" logo add a touch of style. The "WHIZIT" front-zip overalls, which debuted in the 1920s, were inspired by the "WHIZ" sound of a zipper moving quickly. The fabric is made from Lee's original lightweight, thin, and 13-ounce denim, boasting strength. The front features a cotton tape bell-shaped hookless zipper with a U-shaped fastening, recreating the stitching and stitching. This item is currently on sale at the Lee SHOP in Laforet Harajuku in conjunction with the Lee Archive Tour, a 125th anniversary event.
