[Live broadcast] Louis Vuitton's first cruise show will be streamed live

May 16, 2014

Louis Vuitton will be livestreaming its cruise collection runway show in Monaco starting at 2:00 AM on May 18 (7:00 PM on May 17 local time). This will be Louis Vuitton's first cruise collection show.

The collection marks the second season under new artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière and will be held at Palace Square in front of the Prince's Palace, famous for the Changing of the Guard. By presenting the cruise collection on the Côte d'Azur, Louis Vuitton returns to its roots as a quintessential travel destination, luxury, and escapism.

Her Royal Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, who will be sponsoring and attending the show, commented, "I am thrilled to be able to hold the show at Palace Square and see the collection in person. The Principality of Monaco and Louis Vuitton share the values of elegance, beauty, and sophisticated allure."
Louis Vuitton created a crocodile garment cover for the Monaco royal family in 1904. In 1997, to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Monaco's founding, the brand created the "Le Malicieux" bag, paying homage to François Grimaldi, the founder of the Principality.
