KINFOLK's world-first photo exhibition will be held at Diesel Shibuya. Limited-edition menu also available at the cafe.

May 27, 2014

The world's first photo exhibition of Portland-based lifestyle magazine KINFOLK, "THE SHARED TABLE," will be held at DIESEL ART GALLERY (1-23-16 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Cocochi B1F) from May 30 to August 15.

The exhibition is designed to evoke the world of photographers, writers, stylists, chefs, and others involved with Kinfolk, as if they were sitting around a single table. The exhibition features works by beach-loving Carissa Gallo and traveler Laura Dart, two photographers who have been involved with the magazine since its inception. The exhibition is curated by creative director Miho Kinomura.

A book signing session will be held on May 31 with Dart and Katy Searle-Williams, one of Kinfolk's founding members. Original menu items that are usually only available to Kinfolk dinner attendees will be given away as gifts, and related books will also be on sale. The Glorious Chain Cafe, located next to DIESEL SHIBUYA, will offer limited-edition menu items that are in line with the Kinfolk worldview, such as sautéed Fuji chicken breast from Shizuoka Prefecture and orange and almond pound cake.
