Designed with multiple environmentally responsible materials – from jacquard weaves based on organic cotton and recycled wool to 100% recycled polyester repurposed from existing inventory and even recycled plastic chain – the three bag models celebrate art integrated into everyday life, and each silhouette reflects the Maison's groundbreaking approach to circular creativity.

Three essential pieces in the menswear collection—the Keepall Bandouliere bag, the Keepall XS bag, and the Soft Trunk, a design that Virgil Abloh has been creating since his debut collection for Louis Vuitton—clearly demonstrate Louis Vuitton's commitment to circular creative processes.

In this season's new adventure, Virgil Abloh's inspiration, the "Moving Blanket"—protecting the contents of a bag and perfect for on-the-go use—is perfectly aligned with the dedication to sustainability that Virgil has embodied since joining Louis Vuitton in 2018. This holistic approach, a true creative challenge for the Maison, is embodied in the selection and use of sustainable and responsible materials in each piece of the Felt Line collection.

The innovative textile that forms the core material of each bag is made from 43% organic cotton and 20% recycled wool, certified to the highest standards. The unique irregularities of the jacquard weave and the Monogram pattern, hidden behind the tufting of Lurex yarn, further enhance the originality of these leather goods. These three lightweight and practical models reflect global processes in every detail and stylish material selection. The lining is made of 100% recycled polyester, upcycled from fabrics within the Maison's inventory, maximizing the use of existing materials and reducing new production.

The chain and corners are made of 70% recycled plastic, with a multicolored finish that reflects the unique hues of the jacquard weave. The straps and handles are crafted from leather certified by LWG (Leather Working Group), an international certification organization that imposes the strictest environmental standards in the leather industry. Meeting all of Louis Vuitton's cherished standards for quality and durability, the three Felt line models, like the ready-to-wear long coat designed to the same standards, reflect the Maison's choice for responsible, sustainable refinement. Embodied and celebrating beauty and creativity in everyday life—a central theme of the Fall/Winter 2021 fashion show—the Felt line underscores Louis Vuitton's vibrant expertise and ingenuity in providing optimal responses to customer needs and the challenges of the modern world. Each piece includes a signature leather patch designed by Virgil Abloh. Crafted from existing leather inventory, the emblem symbolizes the Maison's sustainable development goal of ensuring 100% of Louis Vuitton products are eco-designed by 2025. "Our committed journey" is the Maison's sustainable development policy, aligned with the LIFE360 plan (LVMH environmental initiative). Through six lines of action, it aims to protect natural resources (responsible sourcing, climate change action, circular creativity) and positively impact society (diversity and inclusion efforts, contribution to local communities, and the development of savoir-faire).
