Recently featured on the TV program "Professional: Work Style," teamLab's new exhibition, "teamLab: Transcending Boundaries," kicked off on August 9th at GYRE in Omotesando, Tokyo. This exhibition marks the debut of a new work.

The venue is an empty, pitch-black space. However, as viewers step inside, they slowly begin to bloom. This new work, titled "Flowers on People," buds on viewers who stand still, blooming simultaneously. As viewers move, the flowers simultaneously wither, wither, and die. This interactive work is only complete with the presence of people. These flowers are not replicated by computer programs; instead, they transform in real time, influenced by the viewer's movements. The seasonal flowers bloom, wither, and change over the course of an hour, and can only be witnessed in this moment. "Flowers on People"

"Borderless Butterflies," an interactive piece on display in the second room, features butterflies transforming their wing patterns as they dance through the space. These butterflies break free from the frame and fly beyond its boundaries. If a viewer touches a butterfly that flies out of the frame, it will die. These works can be experienced until September 25th.
