Vivienne Westwood to merge women's and men's lines, unveiled at London Fashion Week in January 2017

Aug 12, 2016

Starting with the 2017-18 Autumn/Winter season, Vivienne Westwood will unify its men's line, previously presented in Milan under the label "Man," and its women's line, previously marketed as "Red Label," under the Vivienne Westwood brand name.

The first collection after the unification will be presented at a joint men's and women's show during London Men's Fashion Week in January 2017. As a result, the women's line will not be presented at London Women's Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2017; instead, it will be presented through lookbooks and individual sales meetings.

The purpose of the unification is to simplify the brand's product line by bringing the mainline collections under one umbrella. By presenting the collection in early January, earlier than the sales period, the brand aims to provide buyers with a clearer vision for the season.

Vivienne Westwood commented, "We will keep our organization small and minimal, placing an emphasis on quality and selling only truly good items. We only buy what we need. Choose good items and use them for a long time."

The unisex Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood collection will continue to be presented at Paris Fashion Week.
