Wedgwood, a brand operated by Fiskars Japan Co., Ltd. and a supplier to the British Royal Family, will launch a campaign and release additional products for "Sailor's Farewell," a new Wedgwood staple designed by Kit Kemp, owner and interior designer of the hotel group Firmdale Hotels, on June 23rd.
Kit Kemp is an interior designer known for her unique and colorful use of fabrics, and is also co-owner and design director of the hotel group Firmdale Hotels, which owns several design hotels in London and New York. She designed Wedgwood's "Sailor's Farewell."
"Sailor's Farewell" depicts a sailor's beloved, her scarf fluttering in the wind, seeing him off on a rock. As she sees her husband off, the collection depicts the sailor's adventures, both above and below the sea. The charming, eye-catching motifs include a lighthouse, an island with palm trees, an octopus, a whale, and a large fish. This collection became a hit when it was released in Japan last year. This year, we are adding three new products, as well as an exclusive item available exclusively on our official online shop.
This series features a soft, natural pattern, as if each motif were embroidered onto a pale blue linen canvas, accented with gold trim. Enjoy this versatile collection at home, perfect for everything from meals to tea time. The nautical-themed designs also make a wonderful summer gift.
