Y-3 held its Spring/Summer 2017 collection show in Paris on June 26th. This season, Y-3 presented four major themes: "Future Perfection," "3D," "Rebel," and "Surrealism." The collection was influenced by the future depicted in science fiction films, imaginary worlds brought about by technological advances, and social changes. The predominant colors were black and white. Sportswear and formalwear, featuring functional details like belts and taping, were crafted from technical fabrics. Air-filled dresses and jumpsuits, along with square hairstyles, exuded a futuristic mood, suggesting a space voyage at any moment. The new "NOCI" sneakers also garnered attention. Inspired by the imaginary idea of space trekking, the two models, available in both low- and high-cut styles, feature deconstructed silhouettes and technological materials and functionality. The limited edition "NOCI 0003" was also announced at the same time, and immediately after the runway show, only 3,000 pairs were released worldwide.
