Y-3 and Virgin Galactic, a British space travel company, have announced a partnership to design the world's first apparel for private space travel. Virgin Galactic, a space travel company that "makes what was previously thought out of reach a reality," and Y-3, a visionary company at the forefront of innovation, have partnered to develop space apparel for Virgin Galactic pilots, future astronauts, and the Spaceport America operations team. The two companies unveiled prototypes of the company's astronaut flight suit and boots at Spaceport America in New Mexico, where Virgin Galactic is based. The flight suit was developed through repeated testing and trials with the Virgin Galactic pilot team, providing solid support for pilots' natural seated posture. The flight boots also prioritize functionality, featuring a TRAXION outsole for superior grip and adiPRENE® heel insert. "We look forward to sharing the product development story with you as we move closer to commercial flight," said Adam Wells, Virgin Galactic's head of design.

In addition to the flight suit and boots currently in development, the company has already unveiled a custom-made, limited-edition "Y-3 & Virgin Galactic Partnership Jacket." The jacket will be designed, manufactured, and sold exclusively to "future astronauts" who will be passengers on Virgin Galactic's first private spaceflight.
