Knitwear brand Malamute will be holding an exhibition of their 17SS collection, "malamute 2017SS collection "Adagiotto,"" from September 9th to 17th at Harajuku ROCKET in Harajuku, Tokyo.
The theme of the collection is "Adagietto." The collection features cool, relaxed summer knitwear inspired by the outfits worn by people on summer vacation, the elegant scenes, and the film's theme song, "adagiotto," featured in the 1971 classic "Death in Venice." Summery cotton and linen are used for the materials, and advanced knitting techniques are used to create delicate patterns, three-dimensional effects, and a soft texture.
In addition, items related to the 16AW collection will be on sale in conjunction with the exhibition. The lineup features styling by MARTE director Nomura Hitomi, photography by Mori Eiki, and modeling by actress Aoyagi Izumi. It also includes a special photozine with contributions from Mam & Gypsy's Fujita Takahiro, as well as original corsages. Additionally, the malamute adagietto cafe will open simultaneously on the first floor of Harajuku Rocket, offering hydrangea tea sodas inspired by the collection. Enjoy a refreshing drink in a space featuring illustrations by Maya, an artist and illustrator who collaborates with the brand every season.
