PAUL & JOE is releasing a fur collection in collaboration with Sprung Freres, a long-established French fur manufacturer. The collection employs the technology of Sprung Freres, a reversible mouton coat that can be worn on both sides during the day and at night, first introduced in 2000. The collection includes four styles of reversible mouton coats, including a long coat with a hood (¥409,500), a long coat without a hood (¥399,000), and a short coat (¥409,500), as well as two styles of fox fur coats: a long coat (¥682,500) and a short coat with fur and knit (¥346,500), and a fox fur tippet (¥87,150). The collection will be available at the Ginza flagship store, Isetan Shinjuku, Ginza Mitsukoshi, Seibu Shibuya, Hankyu Umeda Main Store, and Takashimaya Osaka at the end of August.
Sprung Freres was started by Baruch Sprung in Vienna in 1892 as a fur trader, and his son Alexandre Z. established the company in Paris in 1930. It first appeared in the French department store Galeries Lafayette in 1951. In 2005, it presented collections by three designers: Hannoh, Martin Grant, and Xuly Bet.
