Like sweatshirts, baseball caps are likely to remain popular. While the popularity of caps with large logos has waned, this fall and winter's fashionable ladies are wearing understated, chic baseball caps. The debut collection of HYKE, a much talked-about brand relaunched after a three-year hiatus by two former Green designers, features a wool cap specially commissioned from New Era, a long-established American cap manufacturer. In keeping with the "navy" theme, the collection features a reproduction of a model worn by the U.S. Navy. The classic cap, worn pulled down over the eyes, is the focal point of a modern military look. In the Stella McCartney collection, a round wool cap pulled down over the eyes is featured. Pairing it with a mannish tailored coat made of pinstripe fabric or a sexy top with a deep V-neckline creates a bold, offbeat look.
