ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION, who will release their new album "The Signal and the Noise" on July 31st, have announced a Japan tour. The show will take place at Shibuya O-EAST on October 11th.
This visit will see the return of original bassist Dr. Das, drummer Rocky, and reggae singer Ghetto Priest. Also performing will be GOMA & The Jungle Rhythm Section, who miraculously resumed their activities two years ago after a traffic accident and made waves in the documentary film "Flashback Memories," which was released this year and enjoyed an exceptionally long run.
ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION is a British band composed of members of Indian and Bangladeshi descent living in the UK, and this year marks their 20th anniversary. Their diverse and energetic sound, which combines scathing social satire and political messages with dub, reggae, Bhangra beat, rock, and punk, has earned them enduring popularity in Japan, where they have performed numerous times, including at Fuji Rock Festival.
Their new album will be released ahead of its general release at the Fuji Rock Festival, starting on July 26th. It will be sold at the GAN BAN booth outside the venue, and purchasers will receive an exclusive mix CD containing unreleased material.
