Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Japanese rock band Buffalo Daughter will be holding an exhibition titled "Happy Birthday BD20" at Tokyo Culture by Beams on the third floor of Beams Harajuku from the 26th until August 7th.
The event was planned and supervised by Buffalo Daughter themselves, who also handled the venue setup in a DIY style. The band's history, from their formation to their work with Grand Royal, the label run by the Beastie Boys, and their subsequent overseas tours, as they expanded their stage worldwide, will be depicted through precious items such as past releases, photographs, videos, equipment used, objects, and clothing. In addition, two 7-inch singles will be reissued in limited US pressings: "Cold Summer (c/w Daisy)," their first release on Grand Royal, featuring a collage by Keiji Ito, and "Sax, Drugs And Rock'n'roll c/w Jellyfish Blues (live)," with cover art designed by Hajime Tachibana. New T-shirts and badge sets for the long-selling "NEW ROCK" will also be available. Also, on July 24th, U/M/A/A will release a 20th anniversary album, "ReDiscoVer. Best, Re-recordings and Remixes of Buffalo Daughter," featuring new recordings and remixes with popular artists such as Ad-Rock (Beastie Boys), Keigo Oyamada, and Aiba Higurashi (THE GIRL), as well as live recordings featuring Hajime Tachibana. Starting from the 16th, people can also listen to "Peace Remix," a remix by Ad-Rock (Beastie Boys) that will be included on the album.
