
Shinichi Osawa, one of Japan's leading DJs and producers, released a new album, "Shinichi Osawa's Work 2008-2012," on February 13th. The album features 30 tracks, including productions and remixes for Japanese artists such as Namie Amuro, MINMI, Wakadanna (Shonan no Kaze), Ayumi Hamasaki, and globe, as well as collaborative projects with Tomoyuki Tanaka (Fantastic Plastic Machine), ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo), and the unit Bradbury Orchestra with Takeshi Kobayashi, as well as co-written works with international artists such as Benny Benassi and Young Punks. The album showcases Shinichi Osawa's unique musical breadth. Shinichi Osawa debuted as bassist for MONDO GROSSO in 1993. Since then, he has released groundbreaking works as SHINICHI OSAWA, while also producing and remixing numerous artists both in Japan and abroad.
This album includes the new track "SPIN OFF" by OFF THE ROCKER, a DJ unit formed with Bonjour Records buyer Masatoshi Uemura, as well as unreleased tracks such as "Sakura Spiral," a classic by the indie band Nagomi Style, which also features Shinichi Osawa, and "ROOT," the main theme of the 2008 Japan-Afghanistan co-production film "THE ROOTS." Also being released at the same time is OFF THE ROCKER's first mix CD, "SOFA DISCO."
