Alexandre Miel's new brand debuts, combining Japan's finest denim with traditional European tailoring

Oct 6, 2015

The new denim brand AIZOME1 ENVIRODENIM® made its world debut at Paris Fashion Week.
The brand was created by designer Alexandre Miel, who has also worked with renowned brands such as Dior and LANVIN. The brand offers elegant and unique pieces that combine the finest Japanese denim with traditional European tailoring.
The brand also uses the world's first patented ENVIRODENIM® manufacturing method, which uses no harmful chemicals and is made using ethically sourced and natural materials that are environmentally and socially responsible. Following traditional Japanese manufacturing methods, the fabric is woven on traditional looms in Okayama Prefecture and dyed using traditional indigo dyeing techniques and modern technology.
The debut collection features pieces that put a twist on traditional denim. Classic silhouettes such as pea coats and tailored pants are enhanced with attention to detail typical of traditional jeans, such as silver detailing, selvedge, and unique stitching.
