Portland's urban farmers and chefs gather at "PORTLAND FESTIVAL 2015" in Aoyama

Oct 18, 2015

The PORTLAND FESTIVAL 2015 market, featuring approximately 20 brands, including breweries and wineries from Portland, USA, will be held on October 31st and November 1st in front of the United Nations University in Aoyama, Tokyo.
This two-day event, held inside the "Farmer's Market @ UNU" venue, which is held every Saturday and Sunday in front of the United Nations University in Aoyama, aims to serve as a bridge connecting Portland and Tokyo. Approximately 20 brands, including urban farmers, chefs, breweries, wineries, and roasters from Portland, will gather on the day. The theme of the event is "URBAN OUTDOOR," and the event will explore the Portlander spirit.
Food will be provided by numerous food artisans visiting from Portland. Additionally, a "TOKYO LOCAL POP-UP" will be held, showcasing Tokyo-based producers who share a common spirit. Additionally, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on October 31st, a visiting chef will be hosting a home party (participation fee: 7,000 yen) themed around the values of Portland's urban farm, "SEED to TABLE." Participants will be able to experience these values while sharing food with each other.
