Start Today Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Chiba City), operator of Zozotown, announced that it will reduce its 10% point rebate program, which began last year, to 1% effective February 1st.
Based on the results of a user survey conducted last year, the company implemented free shipping and 10% point rebate on product prices starting November 1st. However, due to issues with the point rebate rate compared to the direct e-commerce sites of apparel and select shops that the company outsources its operations to, a request for review was submitted by business partners at the end of the year.
A press release released on January 24th stated, "We have received various opinions, including from our business partners, and have considered the impact that further price competition could have on the entire fashion industry, leading to this decision to make this change." Free shipping will continue as before.
